For information about connecting a PC to the 10/100/1000 Ethernet port, refer to "Attaching a management station" on page 118.
The out-of-band management port provides access to a separate system management network, and allows you to do the following tasks:
Access the router through Telnet, the Web management interface, or the Brocade Network Advisor software.
Access a TFTP server to perform system upgrade tasks.
Provides SNMP polling access, as well as sending SNMP traps.
Send Syslog packets.
Access the system through RADIUS AAA.
Management module LEDs
The LEDs on all management module models are the same. <Link>Table 2 describes the LEDs on the management module.

Interface modules

Interface modules for Brocade MLX and NetIron XMR routers are available in two types:
Gen-1 interface modules
Gen-2 interface modules, which provide additional functionality, more memory, and higher operation speeds.
