WARNINGS
The procedures in this section assume that you are familiar with the general
terminology associated with personal computers and with the safety
practices and regulatory compliance required for using and modifying
electronic equipment including, but not limited to the following:
Turn off system AC power by unplugging the AC power cord from the wall
outlet. Disconnect the computer from any telecommunications systems,
networks, and modems attached before performing any of the procedures
described in this section. Not doing so may cause personal injury or
equipment damage.
CAUTION
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage components. Therefore, protect
against ESD by performing the procedures described in this section only at an
ESD workstation or by wearing an anti-static wrist wrap and attaching it to a metal
part of your computer's chassis.
