Symptom
The probe fails to switch
off.
The probe goes into
Trigger Logic™
configuration mode and
cannot be reset.
Cause
Incorrect "switch-off" method
configured.
No RMI-Q or RMI-QE "start/stop"
signal ("radio on" method only).
Probe in "timeout mode" and
placed in tool magazine and
being triggered by movement.
Malfunctioning shank switch
("shank switch mode" only).
Incorrect spin speed (spin switch
on only).
Level start used for M-code on/off
when the probe is set to radio on/
timeout off.
Probe was triggered when
batteries were inserted.
Action
Check configuration and alter as
required.
Check RMI-Q or RMI-QE for
green start LED.
Use shorter timeout setting or use
different switch-off method.
Check switch operation.
Check spin speed.
Change to a pulsed M-code or
change the probe to radio on/off.
Do not touch the stylus or stylus
mounting face during battery
insertion.
