RMP60 basics

Introduction

The RMP60 (model RMP60QE) is a new generation radio transmission probe that is compatible for
application with either an RMI-Q or RMI-QE radio machine interface.
NOTE: Older generation RMP60 probes
without the "Model RMP60QE" marking
cannot be used with an RMI-QE.
The RMP60 enables automated workpiece inspection and job set-up on multi-tasking machines,
machining centres and gantry machining centres.
It is ideally suited to machining centres where line-of-sight between probe and receiver is difficult to
achieve.
Featuring an integrated probe module the RMP60 delivers exceptional robustness and generous
overtravel.
The RMP60 complies with worldwide standards and operates in the 2.4 GHz band. It delivers
interference-free transmission through the use of hybrid FHSS (frequency-hopping spread spectrum)
technology, which allows multiple systems to operate in the same machine shop without risk of
interference.
The RMP60 can be used alone or form part of a larger system comprised of multiple radio spindle
probes and/or tool setters to function with a single interface.
All RMP60 settings are configured using either Opti-Logic™ or Trigger Logic™. These techniques
enable the user to review and subsequently change probe settings.
