Introduction

The FORD12 firmware for Directed Digital Solutions is compatible with specific Ford and Lincoln vehicles. It
is a complete solution for remote start, security (if applicable), bypass interface, and convenience. This guide
provides information on the installation of the module using FORD12. If you would prefer using this system as a
digital solution, go to www.directechs.com and search for the make, model and year of the vehicle. This will
allow you to find the proper firmware and corresponding installation guide.
Warning! This module can only be programmed via the web tool, which can be found on www.directechs.com or using the
Directechs Mobile application for mobile devices. Features and functions will become accessible when you connect the module
using the XKLoader.

The ignition is on.

The alarm system is triggered.

The hood is open.
Š
The transmission is not in Park (P).

The vehicle battery voltage is too low.

The service engine light is on.
Š
The following remote start features can be configured via the information display:

Climate control.
Š
Heated seats/steering wheel.
Š
Runtime.
Š
Remote start enable/disable.
Š
For best results, program the remote starter runtime to match the OEM setting.

The vehicle pit stop/idle mode feature is NOT available in this firmware.

This product is NOT compatible with vehicles equipped with a manual transmission.
Š
The optional Plug & Play THFOC2 T-Harness is sold separately.
Š
The OBDII Diagnostic Connector features will remain the same even when the T-Harness is installed.

Unless specified otherwise, all connectors are displayed from the wire side, with the exception of the OBDII diagnostic

connector.
Refer to the "Vehicle wiring reference chart" following each installation type.

IMPORTANT: In vehicles not equipped with a Factory Hood Pin, must permanently ground the vehicles N.C OEM Hood

Pin input for successful operation. See Directechs for hood pin location. Note: Does not apply to vehicles witha (-) Hood Pin
such as the 2017-2019 F-250 - F-450.

The installation of an aftermarket hood pin is ONLY required on vehicles that are NOT equipped with a factory hood pin.

Parking lights are optional, they flash with lock/unlock and are on during Remote Start runtime. Required only for visual
