To update the MagicPrep NGS software package, from the Settings screen, select Software
update

Insert the USB drive into the USB port on the front of the MagicPrep NGS instrument
The USB port is only intended for installing software upgrades or extracting log files from or onto a
USB storage device. Connection of any other USB devices such as a mouse or keyboard to the
system is not allowed and access is blocked.

The MagicPrep NGS instrument will automatically detect
the USB drive and that there is a new software package to
install and will proceed. The circle on the touch screen will
show the progress of the software installation.

This process normally takes less than a minute.

After the software package installation, the MagicPrep
NGS instrument will verify that the software package has
been successfully copied into the MagicPrep NGS
memory.

Press Continue and remove the USB drive.

To activate the MagicPrep NGS instrument software and complete the update it is necessary
to switch the MagicPrep NGS instrument off at the power switch.

Wait until the LED light bar on the front of the instrument is out.

Switch the MagicPrep NGS instrument on at the power switch.

Once the MagicPrep NGS initialization routine has been completed the instrument is ready for
use
