The Magic Prep NGS instrument will
now initialize and run a self-
test/diagnostic procedure. This can take
up to 10-12 minutes. During this time the
front LED panel will light, and the touch
screen will show the initialize screen as
shown on the right.

Once the self-test/diagnostic routine
is complete and successful the
MagicPrep NGS instrument is ready
to be used and the start screen is
displayed.

The MagicPrep NGS instrument is
now operational and ready to be
used for NGS library preparation.

Details on preparing the MagicPrep
NGS run and loading samples are
outlined in the specific reagent kit
user guides.
Internal Condensation
The MagicPrep NGS has an evaporation tray within the instrument to collect any
moisture that condenses from the internal refrigeration unit, which then evaporates.
Operation of the MagicPrep NGS under extreme high humidity conditions could
cause this evaporation tray to overflow and allow condensed water to drip onto the
bench underneath the instrument and hence possibly drip from the bench onto the
floor. This has the potential for a slip or trip hazard.
Any condensed water seen underneath or around the instrument should be
removed.
