Air-sprung front axle
Raise front axle (1) using support forks. Ensure that
the steering linkage, springs, stabilizer bars, hoses
and cables are not damaged.
Secure front axle to lifting device (2) with chains.
Depending on the level of the air suspension, the wheels
must be pulled onto chocks or placed on blocks of wood
in order to fit the yoke to the front axle.

Raising and towing by the wheels
Air-sprung front axle
Secure vehicle with chocks to prevent it from rolling.
Raise the vehicle with the aid of inflatable jacks or the
drawbars if necessary (intermediate position).
Note tie rods, noise capsules and level control.
Set the lift fork to the track width of the vehicle.

It is recommended that the noise capsules be
removed. Otherwise damage can occur.
Actros, Antos and Arocs | Towing and recovery
Towing in raised position

On vehicles with cutouts in front axle housing: Do
not position support forks directly underneath
cutouts. On vehicles with weight-optimized front
axle, do not lift the front axle in the center.
Push the lift fork under the vehicle.
Raise vehicle.

Make sure there is sufficient clearance between the
arm of the lift fork and the front trim.
