Jump start

Clip POSITIVE terminal of jumper cable to positive
terminal of booster battery first and then to positive
terminal (+) of starter battery.
•
Clip NEGATIVE terminal of jumper cable to negative
terminal of booster battery first and then to negative
terminal (-) of starter battery.
•
Run engine of vehicle supplying power at high
rotational speed.
•
Start engine and run at idle speed.
•
Only switch on inductive consumers (e.g. seat
heating) in vehicle supplying power.

Clip POSITIVE terminal of jumper cable onto positive
terminal of booster battery first.
•
Push back red cover with POSITIVE terminal of
jumper cable and clip onto positive terminal (+).
•
Clip NEGATIVE terminal of jumper cable onto
negative terminal of booster battery first.
•
Push back black cover using NEGATIVE terminal
clamp of jumper cable and clip onto negative terminal
(-).
•
Run engine of vehicle supplying power at high
rotational speed.
•
Start engine and run at idle speed.
•
Only switch on inductive consumers (e.g. seat
heating) in vehicle supplying power.

If battery is deeply discharged: Leave jumper
cables connected for a few minutes with engine
running.
Disconnecting the jumper cables

Unclip NEGATIVE terminal of jumper cable from
negative terminals first.
•
Unclip POSITIVE terminal clamps of jumper cable
from positive terminals.
•
If battery is deeply discharged: Leave jumper
cables connected for a few minutes with engine
running.

Unclip NEGATIVE terminal of jumper cable from
negative terminals first.
The black cap on the jump-start connection point
springs back to its default position.
•
Unclip POSITIVE terminal clamps of jumper cable
from positive terminals.
The red cap on the jump-start connection point
springs back to its default position.
