If you must TAP an ISDN E1/T1/J1 installation that deploys coaxial wiring type you must use the
diagram below:

There are in fact 2 coax cables to tap with E1/T1/J1. The actual tap is made by using a "BNC" T-
connector, one in each coax cable. The coaxial cables used are of 75 ohm characteristic impedance.
The cable between the BNC T-splitter and the APRESA should be less then 20 meter in length.
