Care and Maintenance
Possible Cause
Document thickness
is out of
specifications.
Too many documents
are inserted in the
ADF tray.
ADF scanner glass or
white sheet is dirty.
Document guides are
not adjusted correctly.
Document is inserted
face down.
An internal error has
occurred.
Corrective Action
Scan the document
by placing it on the
scanner glass.
The height of
document should not
exceed the limit mark
on the document
guide.
Clean the ADF
scanner glass and
white sheet.
Adjust the guides
according to the width
of the document.
Insert the document
face up.
Turn the scanner off
and on 2-3 times. If
the error persists, call
for service.
