Checking operating force of
accelerator pedal

Stop the machine on a level ground, lower
the work equipment to the ground, and set
chocks under the tire securely.
Testing accelerator pedal operating effort
1.
Set push-pull scale J at a position 150 mm
from pedal fulcrum (a).
a Put the center of push-pull scale J in con-
tact with a point 150 mm from the pedal
fulcrum.
2.
Start the engine, then measure the maximum
value when the pedal is pushed in from the low
idle position to the end of its travel (high idle).
3.
Stop the engine.
4.
If the squeak noise is heard from accelerator
pedal when checking, lubricate from grease
nipple (1) of roller shaft.

a After greasing, wipe off grease completely (No
grease is adhered on roller surface and roller
sliding surface).
5.
After finishing the work, remove the measuring
instruments and return the removed parts.
Testing accelerator pedal operating angle
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Measure operating angle (α) when the pedal is
operated from the low idle position to the high
idle position.
3.
Apply angle gauge [1] to accelerator pedal (1)
angle α1 and high idle angle α2 (α = α1 – α2).
and measure pressing angle between low idle
