4-Cylinder Direct Injection 2.0L 4V TFSI Engine (EA 888 Generation III) - Edition 11.2019
– Remove the left and right bolt -2- for the radiator bracket -1-
with the corresponding tool -3-.
– Remove the left and right radiator bracket -1- in the direction
of -arrow-.
TIP:
For reinstallation, mark the installation position of the radiator
bracket to the rubber bushing.
– Press the fan shroud left and right locking tabs at the same
time in direction of -arrow- and lift the fan shroud upward from
the radiator.
– Remove the fan shroud downward between the radiator and
the lock carrier at the same time push the radiator pack in the
lower area at the same time as far forward as possible.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
– Install the charge air cooler. Refer to
⇒ "2.3 Charge Air Cooler, Removing and Installing",
page 134 .
Tightening Specifications

4.4 Radiator Fan - V7- , Removing and In‐
stalling
Removing
– Remove the fan shroud. Refer to
⇒ "4.3 Fan Shroud, Removing and Installing", page 124
– Free up the wiring harness.
– Remove the bolts -arrows- and then remove the radiator fan.
TIP:
If the counter-balancing clamps are missing from the fan wheel,
the imbalance may produce noise.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal and note the following:
– Install the fan shroud. Refer to
⇒ "4.3 Fan Shroud, Removing and Installing", page 124
Tightening Specifications
♦ Refer to ⇒ "4.1 Overview - Radiator/Radiator Fan", page 118
