 Narrow long beat:
Nodal/junctional/escape beat
Supraventricular escape beat
 Rhythmic narrow QRS:
Sinus rhythm, normal beat
At the end of the program, the events are summarized in tabular and graphic formats.

9.3.1. Starting the program

Before starting the program, take the following into consideration:
 During rhythm analysis, there is typically no need for precordial leads, and it is
recommended that they be shorted by connecting them to the N lead. When using
precordial electrodes, unstable electrode contact during a several minute examination
(5–10 minutes) causes a noisy record. Adhesive precordial electrodes are recommended.
 Limb leads, e.g. the II lead, should be used as the monitored lead.
Pressing the
arrhythmia analysis is performed if the length of the rhythm record is at least 1 minute.

9.3.2. Running the program

When the program starts, its name appears in the top left corner of the display, along with a
counter which indicates the remaining time for the acquisition of data required by the
program. The maximal length of the analysis is 10 minutes or 600 seconds. Data collection
can be interrupted, but at least 40 beats are needed for the QRS detector to perform an
analysis, and calculate statistics.
The classification of beats is indicated in the row under the QRSs by the letters N, B, W, S, or
L.
After the pre-set rhythm period, or after the QRS detector has detected at least 40 beats, the
program creates a summary table containing the parameters calculated during the arrhythmia
analysis, as well as the statistics calculated from the results.
