Occupant Restraint
OEM Lap and Shoulder Belt: OEM lap and shoul-
der belts are addressed on pages 38-41. Refer to
pages 42-45 for multi-piece chest and waist belts.
Lap and Shoulder Belt Attachments
1. Attach Lap Belt Extension - On the aisle side,
attach lap belt extension with female buckle to L-
track with keeper fitting

Note: OEM lap / shoulder belts serve as both
window-side lap belt and shoulder belt.
3. Occupant Restraint - Ensure belts are adjusted
as firmly as possible, but consistent with user
comfort.
Lap and shoulder belts should bear upon the
bony structure of the body and should be worn
low across the front of the pelvis with the junction
between the lap and shoulder belts located near
the passenger's hip. Wheelchair occupant re-
straints should not be held away from the body by
wheelchair components such as armrests, panels,
wheels or frame. Follow all safety precautions
and instructions supplied by the belt manufacturer.
