Problem
The built-in keyboard does not seem to work.
You have installed an external keyboard or
mouse, and it does not seem to work.
You have connected an external keyboard or a
mouse and it seems to locking up the system.

Possible Cause
1. The notebook has gone into Suspend mode.
2. Your application has locked out your
keyboard.
1. Your external device is not properly installed.
2. Your opera ting sys tem sof t w a re is not setup
with the correct sof t w a re driver for that devi ce .
3. Your mouse or keyboard is connected to the
wrong PS/2 port on the Mini-Docking Station.
1. Your operating system software is not setup
with the correct software driver for that device.
2. Your system has crashed.
Possible Solution
1. Push the Suspend/Resume button.
2. Try to use the touchpad p ointing device
to access the Start menu and then the Shut
Down menu and restart the System. If this
fails then turn your notebook off,wait 10
seconds or more,and then turn it on using
the power switch.
1. Re-install your device. (See Installing a
Mouse or Keyboard on page 101.)
2. Check your device and operating system
documentation and activate the proper driver.
3. Plug the mouse into the PS/2 Mouse p ort
and the external keyboard or numeric keypad
into the PS/2 Keyboard port.
