Configure a serial port
You can configure the connection, determine if changes are monitored, and enable a TCP, Telnet, or
SSH connection for each serial port. Each port must be individually configured.
Configure the connection settings for a serial port
You can configure the serial ports on the Connect IT. Each port must be configured individually.
1.
Log in
to manage the Connect IT.
2.
Access the Configuration > Serial
3. Expand the port that you want to configure.
4. Configure the settings.

Description
Clear the history buffer.

Select the Enable option to enable this port for use. If it is not
selected, the port won't work.

The name of the serial port. If left blank, the default label is
used.
An entry is optional.
The baud rate for the serial port. This value must match the
baud rate configuration for the equipment connected to the
Connect IT.
The default is 9600.
