Chain Tension
Adjust the chain between the front roller and transmission
to have approximately 1/4" to 3/8" of slack.
To adjust the chain:
1. Loosen the 5/8" idler axle bolt.
2. Lay a straight edge along the edges of the idler
sprocket and the upper 13-tooth sprocket.
3. Use the bolt to obtain about 1/4" - 3/8" of sag in the
chain. See Figure 4-2.
4. Re-tighten idler bolt.
Be careful not to over tighten this chain.

Roller Wheels
Occasionally it is necessary to loosen clamp bands and
tighten roller wheel assemblies. As nearly as possible,
peaks on rear wheels should line up with valleys on front
wheels. This requires adjusting both end clamps on the
rear axle drum. See Figure 4-3.
