15. TRANSPORTING THE TRACTOR AND IMPLEMENT
Inherent hazards of operating the tractor and implement and the possibility of accidents are not left behind
when you finish working in an area. Therefore, the operator must employ good judgement and safe operation
practices when transporting the tractor and implement between locations. By using good judgement and
following safe transport procedures, the possibility of accidents while moving between locations can be
substantially minimized. OPS-U- 0017
15.1 Transport to Working Position
Before putting the rock windrower into transport position, be sure that the drum is locked
into transport position. Refer to the transportation section of this manual for complete drum
lock up instructions.
•
Lower transport wheel.
•
Secure the transport wheel lock pin with the
transport hole.
NOTE: The interlock rotator prevents the hitch pole
from sliding out of the working cradle until the
transport wheel has been lowered.
