• Inspect the condition of the chain belts.
• Ensure the slip clutch shields and chain belt
shield is in place and in good repair.
• Ensure the tractor PTO master shield is in
place, lowered and in good condition. OPS-W-

• Perform scheduled lubrication as specified in
the maintenance section.
• Inspect gearbox oil level and replenish if
needed. Gearbox oil should be maintained to
the height of the lower level plug located in the
side of the gearbox. A low oil level is a warning
sign that the gearbox may be cracked or its
seal is damaged and needs to be replaced.
• Ensure all gearbox vents are in place and free
from clogs. OPS-W-0009_A
• Ensure hydraulic cylinder is installed and
retained correctly. Ensure the proper size pins
are used to retain the cylinder in place and are
secured with pins.
• Check for hydraulic oil leaks on the cylinder,
along the hydraulic lines, and at tractor
hydraulic ports.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT use your hands to check for
oil leaks. Use a piece of heavy paper or cardboard
to check for hydraulic oil leaks. OPS-W-0010
