Dividing clips recorded on P2 cards
The recording is automatically continued as another clip when a single continuous recording time exceeds the following time, if a P2 card with a capacity
of 8 GB or larger is used on the camera. it can be operated as a single clip when the thumbnail operation (displaying, deleting, restoration, etc.) on the
P2 device is performed. Clips may be displayed as separate clips in nonlinear editing software or on a computer. When recording on a microP2 memory
card that exceeds 32 GB in AVC-LongG codec, the recording can be continued as a same clip by selecting [ONE FILE] from the main menu → [REC/
PB] → [REC/PB SETUP] → [FILE SPLIT]. Also, the clip will be divided into recording file of approximately 128 seconds each when the main menu →
[REC/PB] → [REC/PB SETUP] → [FILE SPLIT] is set to [SHORT SPLIT], but it can be operated as a single clip when the thumbnail is operated on the
P2 device. The divided unit of the recording file becomes smaller when [SHORT SPLIT] is selected, making the transfer of the clip to start earlier when
the rec during upload function is used.
[SHORT SPLIT] is disabled during the interval recording, the one-shot recording, and the loop recording.
