Operation Mode "DIO Module with Counter"

Parameter Description
Operation mode Both operation modes are available for each channel:
- Digital input
- Digital output
The following functionalities are available for specified chan‐
nels:
- Gate input (channel 2, X2 pin 4)
- Counting direction input (channel 3, X3 pin 4)
- Counter limit value output (channel 4, X4 pin 4)

Gate input
If the channel is set to the "Gate input" mode, the counter is
controlled via the module input (see

Counter mode The counter can be used in three operation modes:
- Event counter:
The counter counts the detected pulses at the counter input
- Gate counter:
The counter counts the pulses detected within the selectable
gate time at the counter input
- Pulse duration counter:
The counter specifies the pulse duration of the present pulses
in ms
Gate time basis The gate time basis is set to 1 s by default.
