11.2.1
Heat Pumps Controlled by Extra
Aux/Solar Boost Relay
In order to use the heat pump, the filter pump must be
turned on and the heat pump must be in HEAT MODE,
and the switch on the heat pump on the equipment pad
must also be set to HEAT MODE.
HEAT PUMP takes the place of EXTRA AUX or
NOTE
SOLAR HEAT. It is not possible to have any two
of these on the EQUIPMENT ON/OFF menu at
the same time.
To operate the HEAT PUMP in this type of
configuration, set the DIP switch S2-1 to ON
and connect the HEAT PUMP temperature
sensor to the SOLAR SENSOR input.
11.2.2
Heat Pumps Controlled by the
RS485 Interface
In order to use the heat pump, the filter pump must
be turned on and the heat pump must be in the HEAT
MODE.
In this configuration, it is possible to have
NOTE
the HEAT PUMP and SOLAR HEAT on the
DEVICES ON/OFF at the same time.
If both HEAT PUMP and SOLAR HEAT are to
NOTE
be controlled by the system then set the DIP
switch S2-1 to OFF and connect the SOLAR
SENSOR to the SOLAR SENSOR input.
If SOLAR HEAT is not to be controlled by the
NOTE
system then set the DIP switch S2-1 to ON and
connect the HEAT PUMP temperature sensor to
the SOLAR SENSOR input.

MENU > SYSTEM SETUP > HEAT PUMP
From the SYSTEM SETUP screen, touch the HEAT
PUMP button to display the HEAT PUMP SETUP
screen.
From the HEAT PUMP SETUP screen, touch the HEAT
MODE button to set the heat temperature.

Home
Use the numeric keypad to enter the new temperature,
and then touch the ENTER button to save it.
