USE AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL

How to replace the crawling tracks

The grease contained in the hydraulic crawling track is pressurised.
Do not loosen the valve by more than one turn; if the valve is loosened
too much, it may be blown off due to the pressure of the grease.
Widen the span of the crawling tracks.
Complete the following operation to loosen up the crawling track due for replacement:
-
Slowly open the valve in the anticlockwise direction, not more than half a turn, to drain
the grease. If the grease does not come out turn the crawling track slightly.
Take the crawling track out.
Before fixing a new crawling track, make sure that the direction of the drive is correct.
Match the track links with the toothed wheel and then place the track of the tension wheel.
Rotate the driving wheel in the reverse gear.
Make sure that the links of the crawling track are correctly matched with the toothed wheel and the
tension wheel.
Adjust the tension of the crawling track.
Perform the operations with the machine stabilised.
Never loosen the greaser.
