Checking the brakes
Good grip
Parking brakes must be capable of stopping the machine on a maximum slope, as indicated in the
"Technical Data" Table.
Make sure that brakes immobilise the machine in both directions on the slope, as indicated in the above
referenced table.
Braking distances
Perform the tests with the machine on a level surface, the diesel/petrol engine on and the
FAST SPEED
•
Select fast speed on the platform control panel.
•
Set the crawling tracks joysticks to maximum forward position.
•
Release the joystick and check that the braking distance is less than 60 cm.
SLOW SPEED
•
Select slow speed on the platform control panel.
•
Set the crawling tracks joysticks to maximum forward position.
•
Release the joystick and check that the braking distance is less than 10 cm.
