The OS in the programmer is configured for operating with a TCP/IP network. To obtain
the correct IP address a properly configured DHCP server must be running in your local
network during the programmers startup. After the programmer has started it will show
the "Welcome"/"About" screen. On the bottom part of the screen in the line "IP
address:" is the address obtained from the DHCP server. When the IP address is
shown as 127.0.0.1, then no network cable is connected, a DHCP server is not running
when the programmer starts or there is some other kind of problem – please refer to the
troubleshooting chapter.

Find and run the "Remote Desktop Connection" program on your computer. In the
"Computer" field enter the IP address shown on the "Welcome" screen of the
standalone programmer.
When communication is established, enter the administrator credentials as shown
opposite.
