5.4 Replacing Over-speed Decal
The over-speed decal, if corroded or discolored must be replaced immediately. To replace the
over-speed decal, follow the procedure below.
Replacing the over-speed decal
(1) Preparation
Prepare a new over-speed decal and knife.
Wash and then dry the rotor well.
(2) Hold the rotor upside down.
(3) Pry the edge of the over-speed decal with the knife and remove the decal.
Be very careful not to damage the rotor.
(4) Clean the decal hole on the rotor by using alcohol.
(5) Remove the backing paper from the new over-speed decal. Place the over-speed decal so
that it snugly fits into the groove of the decal hole on the rotor. Make sure the decal does not
move.

Caution
The over-speed decal plays an important role to control the rotor revolution speed.
The over-speed decal must match the maximum speed of the rotor.
When replacing, be very careful not to damage the over-speed decal and rotor body.
