5.3 PHASE-TO-PHASE ZONE REACH TESTING
3. Set the voltage inputs to the following values:
VA: 67 volts rms ∠0°,
VB: 67 volts rms ∠–120°,
VC: 67 volts rms ∠+120°.
4. Set the current inputs to the following values:
IA: 7.06 (1.41) amps rms ∠–79.6°,
IB: 7.06 (1.41) amps rms ∠160.4°,
IC: 7.06 (1.41) amps rms ∠40.4°.
5. Reduce the voltage of all three phases simultaneously to 42.55 V rms and check that the A1 contact
closes.
6. Reduce the fault current to zero. Note that the trip target indication concurs with the fault.
7. If desired, repeat the test for Zone 2, 3, or 4 by setting the specific zone reach to 6.03 Ω and disabling the
zone elements not being tested.
1. For this test, remove the relay from test mode.
