Network Functions

Intercom Server blocks can be defined for functions like All Call, Group Call, etc. in Intercom Server net-
works (G8-NET, LAN, WAN, CNET-E1, CNET-W, S0). The Intercom Server blocks define, in which hous-
ings these functions are initiated. By pre-dialling a code number one Intercom Server or a group of In-
tercom Servers are selected and then the function is carried out.
If no code number is pre-dialled the functions are carried out in all Intercom Server hous-
ings connected over G8-NET, CNET-E1 or CNET-W, but not in Intercom Server housings con-
nected over LAN/WAN or S0.
Example with CNET-LAN:
GE 800 #1
Block 80, 81
Paris
Block 80 = Paris, Lyon, Aix-en-Provence
Block 81 = Paris
Block 82 = Lyon
Block 83 = Aix-en-Provence
These Intercom Server blocks can be used for the following functions:
 All Call, Group Call
 Ringing at a group
 Alarm
 Music, Radio conference 6T, Predefined conference 7T
 Subscriber index, Chime signal, Video
 Central Control Desk functions, ICX-Output (e.g. ComWIN) – required only for LAN/WAN or S0-net-
works

Define the block numbers

The block numbers may not collide with the calling numbers, input- or output numbers!
If you want to use 1-digit block numbers for the Intercom Server blocks, please mind, that most of the
digits are reserved for functions:
00
Initiate all call
01
Initiate group call
02
Follow Me
03
Privacy function
0T
Reconnection with last call
4T
Music
5T
Answer re-call request
6T
Reception radio conference
7T
Initiate predefined conference
That means, all digits except 1, 2 and 3 are reserved for the internal functions (the function codes could
be changed). Usually the calling numbers start with 1, 2 and 3, so we recommend to use 2-digit block
numbers
(see "Configuration example" on page
Note: Hexadecimal block numbers are possible, however no numbers containing "F" may be used (0F,
1F...9F,AF,BF,CF,DF,EF,as well as F0..FF)
