INSTALLATION
LOCAL SPEED SENSOR OPTION
The ProStop-E ISOBUS rate controller must have access to a
speed signal. In most instances, the ProStop-E ISOBUS rate
controller will read speed information from the ISOBUS. The
system default setting is REMOTE which correlates to the
ISOBUS speed signal. Select LOCAL from the Configuration
menu (Tab "A") to use a speed sensor connected directly to the
ProStop-E ISOBUS rate controller wiring harness.
Below is the optional speed sensor kit for a LOCAL speed
signal:
GPS Speed Sensor Kit 2530-0208 – this kit provides a GPS
"puck" that can be mounted on the cab of the machine.
Connect the wiring harness from this GPS sensor to the
2520-0258 harness, item #1 shown in picture two and is
labeled: REMOTE SPEED.
REMOTE RUN/HOLD SWITCH OPTION
A physical run/hold switch can be mounted in the cab of
the machine to manually control the run/hold function.
Installation of the switch will vary by type of machinery used,
and components are available from various manufacturers.
A run/hold switch can be connected to the 2520-0258 wiring
harness, connector #1 shown in picture two, which is labeled:
REMOTE RUN/HOLD.
The switch type, normally open or normally closed, is defined
in the Configuration tab B setup screen. See page 18 in this
manual.
Example Single Pole/Single Throw switch, connecting the "A"
and "C" pins when the switch is actuated.
INSTALLING PRESSURE SENSOR OPTION
The pressure (2530-0209, figure 10) sensor should be installed
in the main plumbing line as close to the ProStop-E valves as
possible. The sensor requires a 1/4"-18 NPT fitting.
1.
Install the sensor in the main plumbing line.
2.
Plug a cable into the 3-pin Metri-pack connector on the
sensor.
Pin A (left) is 4-20mA Pressure signal
Pin B (right) is power
Pin C (bottom) is not populated
3.
Route the cable to the Prostop-E ISOBUS Rate Controller
- avoid sharp surfaces and heat sources.
4.
Connect the cable to the connector labeled PRESSURE
on the 2520-0250 wiring harness.
