REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
1. Turn the fuel valve OFF, and disconnect the spark
plug cap.
2. Fully loosen the Smart Drive cable adjuster
(P. 3-9).
3. Turn the mower on its right side with the gas filler
cap up.
4. Remove the blade. Use a wooden block to prevent
the blade from turning when removing the two
blade bolts.
5. Remove the belt guide.
6. Remove the 3/8-24 x 1" blade holder flange bolt,
and then remove the one-piece blade holder/drive
pulley and the Woodruff key from the crankshaft.
7. Separate drive belt from the blade holder/drive
pulley.
8. Loosen the two 8 mm flange bolts and then remove
the belt cover.
9. Rotate the left rear wheel and adjuster fully
clockwise, and the right rear wheel and adjuster
fully counterclockwise until the two front handle
stay 8 mm flange bolts are visible.
