    2. GENERAL SAFETY Know how to stop the engine quickly and understand operation of all the controls. Never permit anyone to operate the mower without proper in- struction. The rear shield is for your protection; keep it in place at all times. The blade is sharp and dangerous.

Both levers be held against ,handlebar with one hand while the mower is being operated.

    7. STARTING AND STOPPING THE ENGINE Starting the Engine Exhaust gas contains poisonous carbon mon.oxide. Never run the mower in an enclosed area. Be sure to provide adequate ventilation. 1.
