CONNECTING TO A TELEPHONE ANSWERING DEVICE (TAD)

Connecting an External TAD to the MFC

You may connect an external TAD to your MFC, as shown below. Use the
"EXT." jack on your machine.
-Do not connect a TAD elsewhere on the same phone line. This will
cause problems because your MFC and TAD will both try to
control the line.
