7 Press the jog dial.
Melody timer is set.
The time remaining until the alarm is
shown in the display while the recorder
is stopped or play-paused.
To show the remaining time during
play, do steps 1 to 3. After verifying the
time, press CANCEL.
On the remote control
1 While the recorder is stopped, playing,
or play-paused, press DISPLAY for 2
seconds or more, and then press x.
2 Turn the control towards . or N>
until "M-TIMER" flashes in the display,
and then press x.
3 Turn the control towards . or N>
until "ON" flashes in the display, and
then press x.
, lights up in the display and the alarm
sound can be selected.
4 Turn the control towards . or N>
to select the alarm sound.
5 Press x.
The time is set.
6 Turn the control towards . or N>
to select the elapsed time.
One rotation of the control changes the
elapsed time setting (TIME :) by 1 minute,
within a range of 1 to 99 minutes. To
change the time quickly, turn and hold the
control towards . or N>.
7 Press x.
The alarm is set.
The time remaining until the alarm is
shown in the display while the recorder
is stopped or play-paused.
To show the remaining time during play,
do steps 1 to 3. After verifying the time,
press DISPLAY for 2 seconds or more.
To cancel setting the alarm.
Press CANCEL on the recorder, or press
DISPLAY for 2 seconds or more on the
remote control.
To cancel Melody Timer.
Select "OFF" in step 2, and then press the
jog dial on the recorder or x on the remote
control.
To stop the alarm.
Press any button.

Notes
• The settings will be lost when you start
recording.
• The timer will begin counting down (using the
factory setting) from the moment you select
"ON" in step 3. The recorder will begin
counting down again from the moment you
change the elapsed time in step6.

It is preferable to use the recorder on house
current when recording for a long time.
