Introduction
THANK YOU for purchasing the Giles Model GBF-70 Electric Fryer, manufactured by Giles Enterprises, Inc.,
Montgomery, Alabama (USA), hereafter referred to as "GIL S". Every unit is thoroughly inspected and tested prior
to shipment in efforts to ensure that it will operate flawlessly when received. With proper care and maintenance
the appliance will provide years of trouble-free service.
To help protect your investment in this new equipment, we recommend that you take a few moments to become
familiar with the procedures presented in this Manual pertaining to installation, operation, cleaning, and
maintenance of the appliance. Adherence to these recommended procedures will minimize potential for costly
downtime and future repair expense. Please retain this Manual for future reference.
NOTE: Due to continuing improvements and product enhancements, some illustrations shown in this Manual might not
exactly depict your actual equipment.

Construction

Constructed of 18 & 20-ga 430 Stainless Steel with welded tubular stainless steel inner cabinet structure.

Standard Features

Computer Cooking Controller:
features fifty (50) programmable Menu Item cooking presets. Continuous fryer monitoring; displays operational
instructions and warnings, such as LOW OIL LEVEL, DRAIN OPEN, MAX. ELEMENT TEMP, etc. Features BOIL OUT
program, COOL MODE feature, FORCE FILTER function, multi-language, and password protection capability.
Built-in Oil Filtration System:
1/2 HP pump; designed to perform a filter cycle within approximately five (5) minutes. Serves multiple Fryers in
banked configurations.
Multiple Well:
Available as a banked battery of 2 or 3 Fryers, as well as single unit.

Optional Features

Automatic Basket Lift: Two (2) Basket Lifts per unit. Automatically lower basket into oil at start of cook cycle and
lifts cooked product from hot oil at the end of the set cook time.
Bulk Oil Management System Capability: Connect to an existing bulk oil management system for delivering fresh
cooking oil to fryers (banked units only) or collection/disposal of waste cooking oil.
Vat Top-off System: Maintain oil level in fryers with minimal effort. Avoid low oil conditions and provides foe more
consistent cooked food quality. On banked units, oil is suctioned directly from supplier package (jug).
Regulates cooking oil temperature and cook time. Cook timer for each Basket,
Completely self-contained system helps to extend the life of cooking oil. Features
