Generally, it is advisable to engage the services of a professional commercial kitchen equipment specialist, a licensed electrician, and/or a qualified HVAC contractor to assist with the details of installation.     4. Preparation for Operating Fryer Giles takes pride in quality of workmanship. Every effort has been made to ensure that new equipment is in perfect operating condition when received. Every unit must pass rigorous quality control testing prior to shipment and to further ensure that it meets your expectations, it is recommended that this operational checkout and preparation be performed prior to using the fryer for the first time.

    Fryer Preparation GBF Series Fryers 4.02 Power Check The following test confirms that the unit is properly receiving power. Perform for each unit in a banked system. 1. Set up unit as described in Section 4.01. 2. Be sure the main circuit breaker powering the unit is ON.

Fryer Operation GBF Series Fryers are available in several different optional configurations: a single unit, a banked battery of up to five (5) fryer units, and with or without automatic basket lifts. Differences in procedures are noted where needed and, in some cases, separate sections are used to describe procedures for a different configuration.

This explanation assumes starting with a clean empty Fryer. Except when filtering oil, keep the OIL RETURN VALVE in the lower cabinet set in the [CLOSE] position.

The system circulates oil through filter media in the Filter Pan and back to the fryer vat. Routinely performing this procedure can increase useful life of cooking oil by as much as 50%.

General cleaning of the appliance should be performed daily and other activities should be preformed as described by the following.
