    Generally, it is advisable to engage the services of professional commercial kitchen equipment specialists, a licensed electrician, and/or a qualified HVAC contractor to manage the specific details of the installation.     Damages to the unit caused by improper use of material handling equipment or poor work practices are not covered by Giles’ warranty. Giles shall not be liable for personal injuries or property damage which may be incurred during installation of this equipment. Installation is the sole responsibility of the purchaser, unless previous arrangements have been made in writing.

    GBF-50 Fryer Installation 2.07 Optional Factory-Installed Features 2.07.1 Bulk Oil Management System Connections - Fresh & Waste Oil • Optional factory‐installed fryer plumbing ready for connection to a customer‐supplied Bulk Oil Management system. Depending on which option was specified, fittings on rear of unit can be directly connected to either, fresh oil supply system, waste oil discharge system, or both.

    Finalizing Installation Every effort is made to ensure that new GILES fryers are in perfect operating condition when received; each one has passed rigorous quality control testing prior to shipment. To ensure that it has been properly installed and will operate as expected when placed into service, we recommend that, after installation is complete, the following steps be performed to check basic functionality of fryer systems and to prepare the appliance for first use.

    GBF-50 Fryer Installation 2.09.2 Heat Test This test confirms that heating elements are being powered and properly energized by the controller. Perform test for each fryer unit in a banked system. Heating elements become extremely hot when energized! Skin contact can result in severe injury.

    GBF-50 Fryer Fryer Operation 4. Fryer Operation The GBF‐50 Fryer is purchased as a single unit or a multi‐well banked battery of (2) or (3) units. Several optional features are also available, such as automatic basket lifts, oil level top‐off system, plumbing for bulk fresh/waste oil connection, etc.

A general cleaning of the appliance should be performed daily and other activities should be preformed as described in the following.
