The last part of the machine is houses a pavilion,
a shower and underpan gasket.
The pavilion distances the shower from the cof-
fee, according to the need for different thick-
nesses.
The standard machine comes with 3 mm pavil-
ions; pavilions 4mm or 5mm are also available as
original spare parts.
The shower is the interface between the coffee
and the machine, preventing the coffee from ris-
ing inside the machine.
The hand shower and stand tend to get dirty and
must be removed and cleaned at least weekly
and replaced periodically.
The underpan gasket prevents water from com-
ing out from the sides of the pavilion and reach
the capsule unevenly or spill from the filter holder.
Since the material is plastic and exposed to
high temperatures, the gasket must be replaced
regularly because it tends to deform and lose
elasticity.
