Global recalibration

Information
An energy channel recalibration procedure (MCA) should always be performed
before carrying out a global recalibration procedure. Following this, the control
sample should be measured again. A global recalibration procedure only has to be
carried out if the values still lie outside the tolerance range.
The recalibration procedure is started manually.
In order to recalibrate the instrument, proceed as follows:
1.
Ensure that the recalibration aid has been installed (see Section 6.2.1).
2.
In the software program, select the "Recalibration" menu item beneath the
green "Start" button and then select "Global Recalibration".
3.
Start the measurement and analysis via the "START" button.
Upon completion of the measurement, the analysis of the global recalibration will
be carried out automatically. Press "OK" to close the window where the successful
completion of the recalibration procedure is indicated.
The instrument is now calibrated.
