: Carefully turn the high speed
screw H (1) clockwise as far as
stop.
– Carry out the basic setting,

9.7.1

Basic Setting

The basic setting is necessary only
if the high speed screw (H) or low
speed screw (L) has to be replaced,
the limiter cap has been removed or
after cleaning the carburetor.
– Always install a new limiter cap.

The high speed screw (H) can now
be adjusted.
– Use the screwdriver
5910 890 2305 – the setting disk
5910 893 6600 can be fitted on
the screwdriver to simplify
adjustments.
Starting with the low speed and high
speed screws against their seats,
turn them counterclockwise.
: Turn the high speed screw H (1)
1 1/2 turns. Turn the low speed
screw L (2)
1 full turn.
This completes the basic setting of
the high speed screw (H) and the
low speed screw (L).
The air filter must be clean and
installed.
– Start and warm up the engine.

: Insert the screwdriver (1)
5910 890 2305 into the
adjusting screws (arrow).
Adjust idle speed with a tachometer.

Adjust engine speed idle speed
screw (LA) to 3,000 rpm.

Turn the
low speed screw (L) clockwise
or counterclockwise to obtain
the maximum engine speed.
If this speed is higher than
3,150 rpm, abort the procedure and
start again with step 1.

If the maximum speed of
3,150 rpm is reached, turn the
low speed screw L
counterclockwise until a speed
of 3,000 rpm is obtained
– Install a new limiter cap.
