7.1.5 VW Crafter, MB Sprinter 4325
(part no. 73169TL)
Models from 2006
NOTE.
It may be necessary to make a cut-
out in the bumper.
1 Dismantle the spare wheel and as-
sociated mounts, ladder and towing
hook, if installed.
2 Install the chassis bracket with 2 x
M12x100 screws without tightening.
Use the chassis bracket as a template
and mark a hole Ø10.5 in the vehicle
chassis. Then remove the chassis
bracket. Then drill a through hole
measuring Ø10.5 through the vehicle's
frame member. Apply rustproofing
agent in the drilled hole. See Fig 22.
3 Install the chassis bracket on the
outside and the base plate on the
inside of the vehicle's frame. Use 1 x
M10x90 screw, M10 nyloc nut, washer
and spacer. Tighten with the aid of a
torque wrench. Tightening torque 50
Nm as well as 4 x M12x100 screws
and M12 M6MF nyloc nut. Tighten
with the aid of a torque wrench.
Tightening torque 80 Nm
4 Install the lift, see "7.2 Installing the
lift" on page 50.
5 Install the platform, see "7.3 Install-
ing the Platform" on page 51.
