3.8. DP Mode and HDMI Mode
The extenders work in two modes according to the connected display device:
DisplayPort Mode (DP-DP cable)
When the DP output port of the transmitter is connected to the DP input port of the display device, the
extenders are in DP mode. In this case the source sends DP signal.
Display is Connected by a DVI/HDMI Passive Adaptor
When the DP output port of the transmitter is connected to the DVI/HDMI port of the display device through
a passive adaptor, the extenders and the source are in HDMI mode. In this case the source sends DVI/HDMI
signal. See more information about the Dual mode in the
