5. Turning the vehicle

WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
• Reduce vehicle speed before entering the turn
and maintain an even speed through the turn.
• Do not make sharp turns while turning a curve
or corner to avoid loss of control or tipping.

6. Driving up and down hills

WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
• Do not turn sideways on a hill, or the vehicle
may roll over.
• Always go straight up or down the hill.
• Slow down until you can get a clean view of the
other side at the crest of a hill.
• If the engine stalls on a steep slope, coast
slowly straight down, using the brake.
• Stop and look for obstacles before descending
a hill.

7. Traversing hillsides

WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
• Reduce vehicles speed to prevent tipping or
loss of control.
• Do not traverse hillsides that are slippery or
covered with rocks or obstacles which may
cause you to tip over.

8. Sliding and skidding

WARNING
To avoid serious injury or death:
• Drive slowly and carefully when you are unsure
or unprepared for the surface.
