1.5 Printer Overview
The print option appears in the File menu only if the workstation detects a Windows-compatible printer has
been installed. When a printer is initially added in Windows
detect the printer.
The workstation software application supports graphics printing and event printing. Windows-compatible
printers are required in order to print screens, floor plans, history reports, etc. and annunciated workstation
events.
1.5.1 Graphics Printer
A graphics printer is a Windows-compatible printer that prints what is currently displayed on the
workstation's monitor. When installing graphics printer drivers, be sure to disable bidirectional support and
set the graphics mode to raster.
1.5.2 Local Event Printer
The optional local event printer is a UL 864-listed, Windows-compatible, dot-matrix printer that prints all
workstation events. A default output format and monitoring profile are preconfigured for a local event
printer. It is only necessary to enable the printer in Windows.
A local event printer must have a buffer size of at least 32K and be able to set to these settings:
Baud Rate: 9600
Parity: None
Data Bits: 1 Stop Bit
Stop Bits: 8 Bits
The JPRN-6 printer is a UL listed printer and can be used as a local event printer.
