PS12/24ADA series signaling strobes and piezo electronic sounders. These strobes and sounder/strobes are manufactured by System Sensor for use with Johnson Controls systems. The strobes are UL 1971 Listed for signaling devices for the hearing impaired. Those models that produce 75 candela (cd) meet the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) light output requirements of 75 cd on axis. -

However, if the power supply is unregulated, the notification appliance must be compatibility listed for use with the fire alarm system. If the power supplied is from a regulated power supply, no compatibility listing is required.

Johnson Controls recommends that the signaling strobe and sounder be used in combination to minimize risk.
