5.5.2 Protected Premises Control Unit or Proprietary Receiving Unit
Event Handling Comparison
The workstation handles return-to-normal conditions and acknowledgments in a significantly different way,
depending on operating mode as described in
Table 5.3 Protected Premises Control Unit vs. Proprietary Receiving Unit Event Handling
If an event is acknowledged at the fire alarm control panel (FACP), it is
acknowledged at the workstation.
If an event is acknowledged at the workstation, it is acknowledged at the FACP.
When an event returns to a normal state, it is removed from the New Event list.
When an event returns to a normal state it is acknowledged at the FACP.
*If the user has the security privilege to do so.
