Inspect the self-starter motor by measuring the resistance between its terminals and the ground.
Between S terminal and ground
Between M terminal and ground
Check if the ring gear and self-starter motor pinion engage smoothly while operating them with
the actuator check function. If they do not smoothly engage or the ring gear end face is
damaged, inspect the self-starter motor itself as instructed above.
