4. If you are replacing a card, gently remove the existing card from the carrier.
If you are adding a card, extract the carrier metal filler plate by pushing down on it,
as shown in Figure 12-2. This filler plate covers the area where your card connectors
will protrude out to the rear panel of the I/O brick.
