2.9.1 RS232 Connection
Requirements to connect the probe PMM EP-600/601/602/603/604 to PC
RS232 port:
Some PC models may not provide enough power through the DB9
connector to supply the optical/RS232 adapter 8053-OC. In such
cases install the separate power adapter model 8053-OC-PS between
the optical/RS232 adapter 8053-OC and the PC (see chapter
"Accessories").
- Connect the 8053-OC to the first available PC RS232 port, directly or with
the supplied serial extension cable
- match the colors of the EP-600/601/602/603/604 fiber optic connectors
with the colors of the fiber optic adapters:
- match the colors of the extension connectors with colors of the fiber optic
adapters:
