10. Maintenance

The SuSix
sensor should be cleaned on a regular basis to maintain its
®
accuracy.
Initially the the transmitter should be cleaned once a week or every two
weeks until the optimal cleaning interval can be determined.

Cleaning the Sensor - Once a Month

1. Remove the transmitter from the liquid.
2. Clean the sensor with a soft, moist cloth and clean water. A mild deter-
gent or dishwashing liquid may be used.
3. Dry the sensor with a soft cloth.
4. Immerse the transmitter into the liquid to be measured.
Note:
The accuracy will deteriorate, if the measuring optics are
scratched by for example a steel brush during cleaning.
5. The cleaning intervals may need to be shortened all depending on the
usage and the location.

Cleaning the Transmitter

When seen necessary the SuSix
moist cloth.

Functional Tests - Once a Year

Electronics

1. Check the suspended solids transmitter calibration.
2. Tighten the terminal screws and ensure that all leads are connected
correctly.
3. A service contract maintains the equipment reliability and accuracy. Get
